Documentary shorts without dialogues


Prije tri godine Interfilm Berlin je u sklopu svog godišnjeg festivala uveo konkurenciju za dokumentarni kratki film kako bi se više pažnje posvetilo ovom žanru kratkog filma.

Uvijek tražimo vrlo neobične filmove ovog žanra; filmove koji zaobilaze estetiku televizije i većinom izražavaju sadržaj vizualno, a ne samo preko intervjua ili komentara.

Za festival dokumentarnog filma u Caracasu, svibnja 2006. sastavljen je program u kojem su traženi kratki dokumentarci bez dijaloga, što je predstavljalo velik izazov budući da još uvijek većina filmova komunicira kroz jezik.

Bilo je to prvi put da je Interfilm predstavio program samo s dokumentarnim filmom, a publici se svidio vizualni aspekt programa.

Three years ago interfilm berlin introduced a competition for documentary shorts within its annual festival to focus more on this genre within the short film world and give it more attention. We are always looking for quite unusual films of this genre outside of any TV aesthetics that mostly express their content visually and not only via interviews or comments. the programme was put together for the Caracas documentary film festival in May 2006 that asked for a short documentary programme without dialogues which was quite a challenge as still most films work with language. It was the first time that interfilm presented a programme with only documentaries and the audience liked the visual presence of the programme.

Materijalni znaci industrijske kulture nestaju iz područja Ruhra, no njihove slike ostaju. Duhovi ponovno stvaraju taj svijet u plesu. Impresionistički rekvijem.

The material signs of industrial culture are vanishing in the Ruhr area, but their images remain. Ghosts recreate the world in a dance. An impressionistic requiem.

Nizozemska farma; 20 000 albino zečeva živi na farmi, nema zvuka, nema mirisa. .nijnok (zec na nizozemskom, pisano unatrag) distancira publiku neobičnom naracijom.

Film ide unatrag počevši od transporta odraslih zečeva do njihovog konačnog odredišta, a završava rođenjem.

Pobjednik u kategoriji dokumentarnog filma na Interfilmu Berlinu 2005 i Tabor Film Festivalu 2005, kao i drugih nagrada.

A Dutch farm, 20,000 albino rabbits living in the barn, no sounds, no smells. nijnok (rabbit in dutch, spelled backwards) distances the audience with an unusual narrative.

The film is running backwards starting from the transport of the grown up rabbits to their final destination and ending with the birth.

Winner of the documentary category at Interfilm Berlin 2005, Tabor Film Festival in Croatia 2005 and other awards.

U Sjevernom moru iverak se skriva u morskoj travi. Mnoge opasnosti vrebaju na dnu mora, no iverak je lukav. Jednog dana iverak se uhvati u mrežu. Dokumentarac s nekim elementima fikcije.

In the North Sea a flounder is hiding in the seaweed. Many dangers lurk on the bottom of the sea but the flounder is clever. One day the flounder is caught in a net. Documentary with some ficticious elements

Planirali smo napraviti portret svemira. Dok smo tražili metaforu za dušu, sjetili smo se pera i dokumentirali proces od guske do jastuka.

We had planned to make a portrait of the universe. While looking for a metaphor for the soul, we thought of the feather, and documented the process from goose to pillow.

200 kilometara sjeverno od arktičkog kruga ljudi pecaju na jezeru Torneträsk. Sjede u svojim ''arkama'' – malim prijenosnim kabinama, ispunjenim svom suvremenom tehnikom.

A 100 miles north of the arctic circle, people fish on the lake Torneträsk. They sit in their "arks" - small, movable cabins, filled with all mod cons.
