Mentors

Anita Čeko, a film dramaturgy and psychology graduate, is the coordinator of the Tabor PRO platform and a screenwriting mentor.

Anita Čeko (1987) was born in Zadar, grew up in Split, and now lives and works in Zagreb. She has a Masters Degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, and Film Dramaturgy from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. Apart from being a dramaturg and screenwriter, Anita also works at the Zagreb School of Applied Arts and Design. She is a long-time active member of the Croatian Screenwriters and Playwrights Guild (SPID) and Kinoklub Zagreb, where she made her first films in 2019, which are being shown on national and international film festivals (An apple, three toasts, a yoghurt and Closeness). In addition, she wrote the screenplay for the short film Steppe Fox (dir. Andrija Mardešić, 2019). Currently working on the screenplays for a feature film and a feature documentary with the support from the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC).

Martina Petrović, Head of Creative Europe Desk – MEDIA Desk Croatia.

Martina Petrović has a major in International Relations and a minor in Psychology. Martina has gained most of her working experience at the Ministry of Culture, Department for International Cultural Cooperation, being responsible for various cultural exchange programmes between Croatia and other countries; among many activities, she was responsible for the organisation of Croatian film presentation during international film festivals in Berlin and Cannes. From 2008, she has been actively involved in establishing the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, where she has stayed, after being chosen by the European Commission as the Head of MEDIA Desk Croatia. Following immediate and successful results in terms of ensuring the financing by the MEDIA Programme, working thoroughly on the promotion of the Croatian film, resulted in receiving the first Albert Kapović Award by the Croatian Producers Association, given at the opening of Zagreb Film Festival in 2010. As the Head of MEDIA Desk Croatia (today’s Creative Europe Desk – MEDIA Office Croatia), she has been actively involved in organizing innovative and active presentations/workshops – important tools for education and networking – between Croatian but also European film professionals.
