Tema filma je sloboda. Sloboda koja se ne može ugušiti, ma koliko bi to željeli oni na vlasti. Film je snimljen prema djelu Miroslava Krleže ''Balade Peterice Kerempuha'', jednog od kapitalnih djela hrvatske književnosti. Priča filma je veoma bliska suvremenom čovjeku u ovo vrijeme društvene dezintegracije, osobito u zemljama u tranziciji. Radnja se odvija u dva vremena; moderno doba i feudalizmu. U feudalizmu je glavno oruđe represije bila sirova sila, dok se sadašnjim svijetom upravlja preko mnogo sofisticiranijih alata masovne hipnoze uz pomoć medija. Vučemo paralele između dviju epoha kako bi naglasili da su široke mase oduvijek tlačili tirani i vlast.

The subject of this film is freedom. Freedom which cannot be trampled, as much as the powers that be would want that. Film is based on Miroslav Krleža's "The Ballads of Petrica Kerempuh", one of the capital works of Croatian literature. The story of the film is very close to contemporary man, in this time of social disintegration, especially in countries in transition. It takes place in two different times. Modern and feudal. In feudal times the main tool of repression was brute force, and in today's world it is being carried out by much more sophisticated tools of mass hypnosis over the media. We are drawing parallels between those two epochs to emphasize that the masses were always oppressed by tyrants and powers that be.

Ljubav, strast, poezija, nasilje i borba za preživljavanjem ujedinili su dvoje mladih ljudi izašlih iz mora i koji su se moru vratili. Živjeli su cijeli život preko puta uvale i postali metafora grada na koji su gledali, a u koji nikad nisu ušli. Njihovo uzaludno životno iskustvo se stapa sa slabim svjetlu lanterne koja pokazuje put nekim novim slučajnim putnicima u tami dubokog mora.

Love, passion, poetry, violence and the survival struggle have joined the two young people who came out of the sea and who went back into the sea. They lived all their life across the bay, and became the metaphor of the city they faced, bout never enetred. Their vain life experience blended into a weak lantern light thet shows the way to some new nameless chance travellers in the darkness of the deep sea…

Okoliši izgrađeni vremenskim krivuljama, pulsiranjima njihovih vlastitih aktivnosti, vektorima sila, fluidnim tokovima utjecaja, promjenjivim uvjetima i spiralama značenja stvaraju timesites (vremenska mjesta), naseljive lokacije određene trenucima i okolnostima. Prisutni sada i ovdje omogućuju izmještanje.

Environments generated by curves of time, pulses of their own activity, vectors of forces, fluid flows of influences, ambiguous conditions and spirals of meaning constitute TIMESITES, inhabitable locations made of moments and circumstances. Present here and now they enable RELOCATION.

Simbolična priča o društvenom proizvodu, koji se izmakne kontroli. Ovaj put, to je spomenik - vojnik koji pati od PTSP-a. Kako bi civilno društvo reagiralo u takvoj situaciji? Smije li se takvu anomaliju ostaviti na "životu"? Naposlijetku, stoji li možda iza svega toga neki zlokobni naum?

A symbolic tale of a social product, which gets out of control. This time, it's a monument – a soldier suffering from PTSP. How would the civic society react in this situation? Can you let this anomaly ''live''? Finally, is there an evil scheme behind all this?
