Denis Mujadžić Denyken

SUN 8. 7. / 16:30 H

Denis Mujadžić Denyken is a well-known music producer who is, in his own words, engaged in breeding and keeping rock’n’roll alive in Croatia (and he was able to reach out to Slovenians, Bosnians and Macedonians) for almost 30 years. He has worked with bands like Hladno Pivo, Majke, Pips Chips & Videoclips, Jinx, Zabranjeno Pušenje, Kojoti and many others, and his productive work was rewarded with six Porin awards and three Black Cat awards. He currently lives surrounded by birch trees half-way from Zagreb to Samobor and goes to work in his studio “Present” in his slippers. In this lecture, he will introduce us to the development of music production through decades, starting in the fifties of the last century, up to the latest highlights of music production. The stress is on the use of music studio and equipment as an added value to the basic task and intention of music production: to really hear the song, including the technical and the much more important artistic aspect! Also, he takes a psychological point of view, and through familiar examples, he will help the listeners to take an analytical approach to active listening to help them understand what makes top music production.
